BAY AREA UNREST
In December of 2015, residents of California's Bay Area rose up in solidarity and took to the streets to call for police accountability reguarding the recent killings of unarmed black men across the country. This essay spotlights those who marched on freeway ramps and through the streets of Oakland, Berkeley and San Francisco every week for over a month. Some demanded justice, some used protests as an outlet for vandalism. All photos were made for the San Francisco Chronicle.
